White Bird's Eye Marble

DescriptionBird's Eye Marble is a freshwater (lacustrine) fossiliferous limestone from the Flagstaff Limestone Geoologic Unit. It was quarried as a decorative stone by the Mormon Church from the 1880s to the 1940s. it can be seen in the Lincoln Memorial and the Mormon Chapel in Washington D.C.
