DescriptionPorphyritic igneous rock with a medium grey groundmass and light pink phenocrysts. Consists of ~20 light-pink to white plagioclase phenocrysts (1-3 mm), 10% biotite clumps (clumps ≤ 5 mm, individual crystals < 1 mm), and 60% light grey groundmass reported to consist of quartz, plagioclase, and K-feldspar, Larsen (1948).
