Quartz latite porphyry

Object number: ROC21713
DescriptionPorphyritic igneous rock with a medium-light-grey groundmass and white phenocrysts and streaks of biotite. Consists of ~15 white plagioclase phenocrysts (1-3 mm), 15% biotite streaks (streaks ≤ 2 cm, individual crystals < 1 mm), and 60% light grey groundmass. The biotite streaks are subparallel, probably as a result of flow.
