DescriptionLight pinkish-tan porphyritic, plutonic igneous rock with abundant fine flakes of black biotite. Consists of ~30% feldspar, phenocrysts (1-3 mm). The groundmass makes up ~70% of the sample and is a mixture of quartz intergrown with alkali feldspar. There are minor amounts of muscovite and tourmaline.
